Successful Outcomes at one of the leading transitional living programs helping young women from Delaware

Journey Home, one of the leading transitional living program from Delaware, offers some of the most advanced transitional environments in the country. It€™s scientifically proven that focusing on building a sense of agency and personal responsibility is the best path to build self-esteem. Picture4

The first step of this path is that it is not the first step at all. Our transitional living program is intended to provide a transition time between any treatment program and going back to normal society for young women between 16 and 21 from Delaware. To do so, during the day, girls will attend high school or college, and return to Journey Home base in the evening, where they can find the warmth and comfort of a traditional home setting.

Every girl is guided by €œhouse parents€ that function as individual guides to help her with reaching goals and with practical things like homework and school or college studies. They have at least one follow-up interview every two weeks.

During permanence, girls from Delaware are involved in many activities to enhance life-skills, such as: maintaining cleanliness of living space and property, budgeting, time management, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, gaining employment, appropriate recreation, personal hygiene, nutrition and fitness. They can also attend high school or pursue college courses.

But not all of our transitional living program from Delaware is teaching and educating. Some of the regular group activities at the Journey Home include €œFun Food Friday€, snow sports in the winter, visiting museums, going to movies, exploring the local outdoors by hiking and biking, and many other local events and activities. Many of these activities are carefully planned by Journey Home itself.

Getting Help For Your Delaware Daughter at Journey Home

As parents we don€™t want to see our beloved daughters suffer because they€™re unfit and can€™t keep up with the requirements of our modern society. At Journey Home, one of the most qualified healthcare centers in transitional living programs, we help to develop and accomplish critical achievements for young women from Delaware who are on a recovery path. Picture7

Our transitional living program from Delaware focuses on learning and managing five core principles that we believe are the foundations for a happier and more successful life. Our intervention is carefully planned with the participation of a professional team of psychologists, but also a proactive consultation with parents, and of course the active role of the patient in order to make her more responsible about her life.

Journey Home is located in Layton, just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. Of course we accept young women from all U.S.A. including Delaware, and believe that a time away from home can be beneficial to struggling youth. According to experts, living in an everyday contact environment with peers, greatly improve socialization.

We differ from others transitional living programs because we focus on a wide variety of skills to achieve, that can be summarized in these five core principles: healthy living, education, life skills, personal responsibility and social integration. Every goal is carefully chosen to fit the individual needs in that particular area.

Journey Home is a healthcare center that aims to recover these young women beyond the simple €œcure€ and give them back to society as young and skillful women, with a real fighting chance for success, and not just as normal approved individuals.
